Sharing a meal

Our agency put together a Korean dinner event this weekend. We were able to meet families who are recently home, families who are waiting for their travel call and kids who have been home for 14 years! It was so great to connect and the kids really hit it off. Lily ate like a champ, shoveling in the japchae which kept her satisfied and occupied. Nancy, an adoptive mom who is actually from Korea was able to answer questions about food and other customs. Of course there was a great deal of adoption story swapping. A good time was had by all!

I love the coincidences you mentioned today on my blog!

Events like these are such fun! And don't even get me started on the yummy food. :-)
